Home and Away!

I have a job! It is a at a cafe, so that is good. Only part time but it will pay my reant and mean that i can eat! It is the job that i had the trial for on Monday! It is only Monday to Friday so i still have the weekends to explore and have adventures.
The irish love Home and Away, my housemates love it. I have been joining them to watch it so that i am up with the gossip and so that i know what is going on, quite sad. It is even on twice a day once in the arvo then in the evening.
I also had a day of temping yesterday in a kitchen and that went well :)
The sun is still shining, although it was forcast to rain today it has not yet but i'm thinking that it will this evening.
I made Anzac biscuits today for my housemates, I am being a great ambassador and teaching about Australia.
All my love xx

  3. Good on you getting a job. You'll be able to spread the Aussie culture through contact with customers too! What sort of cafe is it? Hope your hours are reasonable. Is Neighbours on as well as H&A?
Looking forward to hearing about your adventures. We had a frost this morning!! Brrr. And we have had some rain - unlike Ireland it is still a novelty here! Take care kiddo.

  5. I though that i might teach my housemates the national anthem, i'm sure that will go down well :)
Thanks. The cafe is a small family run place called 'Anton's Cafe' just outside the busiest part of town but still only a 10 - 15 mins walk from my place. At the moment I am working Mon - Fri (cafe is not open weekends) 12 - 5 everyday which is quite good with my hours looking to increase over the next couple of weeks. it is a very busy place between 12:30 and 2:30 with lots of customers being regulars. Yesterday we had a line of about 6 waiting for a table at lunchtime it was crazy busy, but ok.
The Irish are not as mad for Neighbours, its only on once a day - my housemates don't like it.
We had a huge downpour yesterday which i managed to miss, which was great!

  6. Hi,

Sounds like life is good - that's great news - G-ma was doing some praying as well - so it must be a group thing. Cafe sounds great.

Jane wants to know if you got chased by the bull that wreaked havoc in a supermarket in Ireland. She also wants to know if there are any nightclubs in Ireland?

What is your mailing address as Jane and all want to send you a letter and John wants to send you a picture!! (she can't access blog at school) Mary Ellen and Louise went to see them during the holidays and I think that he had Louise very organised.

G-ma loves hears about your travels etc - Grumps keeps her updated - I'll have to get him set up to send posts!!

    Cheers
